Helen Austin is a prolific singer/songwriter from the UK now living in Vancouver, Canada. She has won numerous awards, the most recent being a 2013 Juno Nomination and a John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize win. Her music is a cross between Ingrid Michaelson and Iron & Wine, rooted in Paul Simon and The Beatles. Her newest album, You Knew Me, is a giant progression of her sound, thanks to carefully crafted songs and help from superstar producer Bleu (Demi Lovato, Chris Mann). These songs are instantly catchy, but deeply meaningful, brought to life by a unique and unexpected production style. Bleu and Helen were joined at the hip for a month while Bleu transformed Helen’s alternative folk songs into the lush organic-electronic recordings on You Knew Me.
