The Palo Alto-based Timmy Linetsky (aka Underbelly) is quickly gaining a reputation as a talented producer and live performer.

Trained in classical piano since the age of 7, Underbelly began his forays into electronic music by making a beat every day for 365 days straight in high school in the style of his idols J Dilla and DJ Shadow. Soon, he began to garner online fame for his YouTube-based electronic music production tutorial series, “You Suck at Producing,” which has over 55,000 subscribers. Many of his remixes and original productions have gained a huge following, with his remix of Doja Cat’s “No Police” collecting hundreds of thousands of listens on SoundCloud.

Underbelly has received accolades for his energetic and unique live show that often combine live keyboard improvisation and beat construction utilizing his custom built shoulder strap beat pad. He has performed in support of heavy-hitter electronic and hip-hop artists alike, including Tchami, Lido, Slow Magic, Giraffage, Freddie Gibbs, Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony and many more.

Additionally, Underbelly was selected from hundreds of submissions to play at the Low EndTheory Festival beat invitational before being invited back to play again at the weekly club night. He has also played Lucidity Festival and Sebastopol Rising Festival, and made a five-week 18 show tour across the UK with international flute sensation Azeem Ward.
